Benefit concert supporting brain health awareness and recovery with Drake White, founder of The Benefit For The Brain non-profit.
Drake White returns to the Ryman Auditorium on Monday, November 16, for his annual benefit concert. It's the signature event of The Benefit For The Brain, the non-profit he started after collapsing on stage in August 2019 from a hemorrhagic stroke. The diagnosis was an arteriovenous malformation, and it took seven brain surgeries and months of physiotherapy before he could get back on the road. Since then, he's released the album THE OPTIMYSTI_C and shared stages with Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and Zac Brown Band.
The night is about more than just the music. The benefit supports brain health awareness and recovery, and the proceeds go to charities focused on mental wellness for military and veterans, brain health in children and adolescents, and stroke and neurological recovery. It's a cause that comes directly from White's own experience, so the connection between the show and the work it funds is a personal one.
