Weekly guided run of 3 to 5 miles through downtown Nashville led by Joe Britton of Downtown Runners Nash, open to all paces.
Downtown Runners Club is back at Walk of Fame Park on Friday, October 23, for another guided run through downtown Nashville. It's a weekly meetup led by Joe Britton of Downtown Runners Nash, and it's designed to bring locals and visitors together for a new 3-to-5-mile route each time. The whole thing is open to all paces, so it works whether you're out to push your time or just want to get some miles in with a group.
The run is part of a series programmed by the Nashville Downtown Partnership in collaboration with Metro Parks Nashville, and it runs weather permitting. Since the route changes every week, it's a good way to see different corners of the downtown area you might usually just drive past. If you've been coming for a while, you'll get a different path; if it's your first time, you're starting fresh with everyone else.
One of the better things about the format is what happens after the running is done. Instead of everyone just heading home, there are lawn games and space to hang out and chat, so you can stick around as long as you like. It turns a workout into something more of a social thing, and it's a low-pressure way to meet people in the city.

It all goes down at Walk of Fame Park, 121 4th Avenue South, from 5 PM to 8 PM. The run itself is the main event, and the lawn games follow, so you've got a few hours to work with. Just keep in mind it only happens if the weather holds.
