David Wimbish and Jesse James DeConto perform together, bringing their intimate storytelling and music to The End in Nashville.
David Wimbish & The Collection play The End on Friday, November 20, with Jesse James DeConto joining him. It's a pairing that goes back more than a decade: Wimbish first recorded trumpet on DeConto's second full-length album in 2013, and they've been making music together ever since.
Both have spent the last few years working through new records. In 2025, Wimbish produced a third album with The Pinkerton Raid, IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY, TELL THEM, and released his own self-produced record, HEAVY LOVE, through Nettwerk Music Group. DeConto, who spent a decade and four albums with The Collection, has since reimagined his career as a solo artist. He's returned to the Appalachian indie folk-pop foundations of his early work, which AMERICANA HIGHWAYS called "Beatles-esque dreamy folk."
They've both built followings as touring singer-songwriters and bandleaders across the Southeast, and in 2026 they hit the road together. They describe their approach as intimate storytelling, singing and playing toward hope and healing. On the night, they'll pull from new and old songs, with The Pinkerton Raid also in the mix.
