Monthly creative writing series session focusing on dialogue, connecting writers in Nashville through themed workshops and writing exercises.
Fiona Capuano leads a creative writing workshop at Church Street Park on Saturday, October 17, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM. It's part of the park's monthly writing series, which brings together Nashville writers throughout the year. The sessions are built around themed prompts, poetry comparisons, and writing exercises, and writers of all levels are welcome.
This particular date is a rescheduled one. The original October session, Fundamentals of Dialogue, had to be moved to the 17th after weather closed the park on the 10th. Because these are outdoor sessions, they remain weather permitting, and the organizers post updates to the @churchstreetpark Instagram stories if things change.
The series is programmed by the Nashville Downtown Partnership in collaboration with Metro Parks Nashville and powered by Amazon. It's designed as a year-long sequence, so if you've been following along, this is the next installment in the calendar. If you're just starting, it's a good way to get into a regular writing rhythm with other people in the city.
