Concert by Nashville singer-songwriter Cindy Morgan at the Jesus Worldview Conference at Belmont University.
Cindy Morgan is playing Belmont University on Monday, October 12, as part of the Jesus Worldview Conference. It's a local Nashville singer-songwriter taking the stage in her own backyard, and if you've spent any time around the city's music scene, her name has probably crossed your path more than once.
Morgan is a two-time GRAMMY nominee and a 14-time Dove Award winner, and she's a Songwriter of the Year honoree. That 2023 Inspirational Album of the Year went to her work as a producer, and in 2024 she picked up the Hollywood Independent Music Award for her single "Jubilee," which features Tommy Sims. She's landed 21 No. 1 radio singles over the course of her career, so she's well-acquainted with the charts.
Beyond her own records, she's written for a long list of artists: Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Sierra Hull, Sandra McCracken, India.Arie, Rachael Lampa, Rascal Flatts, Glen Campbell, Mandisa, Natalie Grant, Michael W. Smith, Point of Grace, Brandon Heath, Britt Nicole, and Kris Allen. Her song "Bird in a Cage" was performed by Robert Redford and Sasha Lazard in the 2017 film Blind. In 2023 she branched into fiction with her debut novel, The Year of Jubilee, which earned Christy and Audie Award nominations.

She also does a fair amount of work outside the studio. She co-created the charitable Hymns for Hunger Tour with Andrew Greer and has spent a decade partnering with Operation Song, which pairs professional songwriters with veterans navigating PTSD. She's married to Jonathan, an attorney and songwriter. The show starts at 7 PM at Belmont University, and admission is free.
