Chelsea Wolfe performs live on her The Dark World Tour at Marathon Music Works in Nashville.
Chelsea Wolfe plays Marathon Music Works on Wednesday, October 14, as part of her The Dark World Tour. She's a Sacramento artist whose work pulls from rock, doom, and folk, and she's touring this one with her band. On stage, she handles vocals while Ben Chisholm takes keys and electronics, and Jonathan Hultén is also part of the lineup. It's an all-ages show, so you can bring whoever you like.
If you're not familiar with her, that mix of rock, doom, and folk tells you a bit about what to expect. The doom side brings the heavy, slow-burn weight; the folk side keeps it grounded in song; and the rock ties it together. It's a wide enough range that the set can shift from something loud and oppressive to something quiet and sparse without feeling like two different shows. With Chisholm on keys and electronics, there's plenty of room for the atmospheric, textural side of her sound to take center stage.
There are a few things to keep in mind before you head out. The show is general admission, with seating and standing first-come, first-served within each section, so if you have a preference for where you stand, you'll want to get there early. The venue is cashless, which means they only take debit or credit cards—don't rely on cash for drinks or merch. If you need to pick up tickets in person, the box office is open every Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
