Country music artist Chase Rice performs live at the Grand Ole Opry House as part of the Opry 100 series.
Chase Rice plays the Grand Ole Opry House on Tuesday, December 8, as part of the Opry 100 show. It's a Nashville homecoming for a country artist who's spent fifteen years building a following that's now at 2.2 million albums and more than 3 billion streams.
Rice is a 10x Platinum artist and singer-songwriter, and his career started on the songwriting side. He wrote the Diamond-certified hit "Cruise," which Florida Georgia Line later performed. Since then, he's put out two No. 1s at country radio, "Drinkin' Beer. Talkin' God. Amen." and "Eyes On You," and shared stadium billing with Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney.
Before the music took over, he lived a few different lives: he was a college football linebacker for the University of North Carolina and a NASCAR pit crew member for Hendrick Motorsports. He eventually left the major-label system to go fully independent, and his eighth studio album, ELDORA, is the most recent chapter. He wrote it in Colorado, inspired by a hidden mountainside town, and describes it as his rawest work to date. It came together after a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and was crafted with co-writer and producer Oscar Charles.
