Catie Turner

Catie Turner plays Exit/In on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, with the show starting at 7 PM. She's a singer from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, who first made a name for herself on ABC's American Idol in 2018, where she finished in the Top 7 out of 45,000 hopefuls. Her audition opened the season premiere and introduced her original song "21st Century Machine" to 11 million viewers. She wrote the track as a reaction to the pressure social media puts on young women, and the song and its guitar riff became an overnight anthem.

Critics have compared her to a new wave of soul singing, with a timbre that brings to mind early Amy Winehouse and Adele and lyrics that channel Joni Mitchell. She taught herself guitar and started writing to cope with changing schools and being socially outcast. On American Idol, she also drew attention with unexpected takes on hits by The Beatles, Lady Gaga, and Blondie, and shared the stage for duets with Andy Grammer and Katy Perry. In the summer of 2018, she played 48 cities on the American Idol Live! 2026 tour, and her televised performances and videos have gathered over 50 million views. The Nashville show is a headlining date at Exit/In, located at 2208 Elliston Pl, Nashville, TN 37203. It starts at 7 PM on Wednesday, November 25.
