A live musical tribute to the careers of Carole King and James Taylor, performed by Phoebe Katis and Dan Clews, with wine and food pairings.
The Carole King & James Taylor Story comes to City Winery Nashville on Wednesday, October 14, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's a live musical tribute to the catalogs of Carole King and James Taylor, performed by Phoebe Katis and Dan Clews.
The show traces the careers of two songwriters who defined an era. King is a six-time Grammy winner with a twenty-times-platinum catalog; Taylor is a five-time Grammy winner and an American folk legend. The set pulls from both, with renditions of songs like "Fire and Rain," "Sweet Baby James," "I Feel the Earth Move," "Natural Woman," and "You've Got a Friend."
Katis and Clews carry the night as established artists in their own right. Sir George Martin called Clews "too great a talent to ignore," BBC Radio said the show sent chills, and BroadwayBaby gave it four stars. Before landing in Nashville, the production played sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Adelaide Fringe, and toured sold-out dates across the UK and the US.
