Live string quartet performances under candlelight in iconic Nashville locations, with themed sets ranging from classical to film scores and pop tributes.
Candlelight Concerts are running across Nashville from Friday, October 9, 2026, through Sunday, February 14, 2027. The series rotates between three of the city's most recognizable spots: The Parthenon at 2500 West End Avenue, Conrad Nashville at 1620 West End Avenue, and the National Museum of African American Music at 510 Broadway. Most shows start at 6:30 PM or 8:45 PM and run about an hour.
The format is the same for every date: a string quartet plays a themed set under the glow of thousands of candles. The programs change from one night to the next, so the music you'll hear depends on which date you pick. Some lean on the classics, like Vivaldi's Four Seasons, while others pull from film scores by Hans Zimmer. There are also tribute nights dedicated to Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles. In October, the series adds Halloween-themed shows, and in December, it shifts to Christmas programs.
Because the set lists change, you can come back more than once and hear something completely different each time. One night might be a dive into the Baroque, the next a run through some of the biggest pop and rock songs of the last few decades, all played by strings. The organizers describe it as a fusion of music and atmosphere, with the melodies played in some of Nashville's most emblematic locations.
