A string quartet performs Michael Jackson anthems in a candlelight setting at The Conrad Nashville.
The Conrad Nashville is hosting a Candlelight Concert: Tribute to Michael Jackson on Saturday, November 28, with a string quartet playing Jackson's anthems by candlelight. It's part of the Candlelight series, which takes well-known music and strips it down to a small ensemble in a room lit by candles.
On the program, a string quartet handles the arrangements, so you'll hear Michael Jackson's songs played on violins, viola, and cello rather than with the full pop production of the original records. The set focuses on his anthems, the big songs that most people recognize from across his career, and the candlelight is the only lighting for the room. It's a stripped-back take on a catalog that usually leans on heavy dance beats and high-energy pop.
