A string quartet tribute to Fleetwood Mac played in candlelight inside The Parthenon.
Fleetwood Mac gets a candlelight tribute at The Parthenon on Friday, October 9, with a string quartet taking on the songs. It's a candlelight concert, so the room will be lit by candles while the quartet plays through the set. The venue is at 2500 West End Ave. in Nashville.
The tentative program pulls from across the band's catalog. You'll hear 'Everywhere', 'Gypsy', 'You Make Loving Fun', 'Never Going Back Again', 'Don't Stop', 'Gold Dust Woman', and 'Go Your Own Way'. It's a mix of the pop-leaning tracks and the moodier ones, and they're all played by strings rather than the original electric and acoustic guitars. Hearing 'Gold Dust Woman' and 'Go Your Own Way' side by side in that format should give you a good sense of how the quartet handles the different ends of the band's sound.
