A live music performance featuring Brody Price, Caylan Hays, and Trevor Nikrant at the DRKMTTR Collective in East Nashville.
Brody Price, Caylan Hays, and Trevor Nikrant are playing together at DRKMTTR Collective in East Nashville on Sunday, November 15. It's a three-name bill, with all three sharing the stage on the same night.
If you haven't spent much time there, it helps to know what DRKMTTR Collective is. It's Nashville's longest-running all-ages DIY space, and it's been going for ten years now. More than just a music venue, it's a hub for connectivity and creative collaboration that's survived three moves and two involuntary shut-downs along the way. It operates as a grassroots 501c3, sustained by Patreon, bar sales, and shows like this one. It's also an all-ages room, which means the under-21 crowd can get in without needing a guardian or a fake ID.
That DIY ethos is a big part of why the space exists. It's a place where artists and organizing communities link up, and where the under-21 crowd has a spot to go. The fact that it's still running after a decade—and after those moves and shut-downs—says something about the community that keeps it going. It's one of the few spots in the city that stays open to everyone, regardless of age.
