A spontaneous bluegrass gathering where musicians and singers from around the world come together to play, with hot pizza and cold beer available.
The Station Inn is bringing back its Bluegrass Jam on Sunday, October 11, and it's not a one-off. This is the start of a long run that keeps going every Sunday through January 31, 2027, so if you miss the first one, you've got plenty of chances to catch it later in the winter.
The jam is billed as a gathering rather than a formal show. Musicians and singers come in from all over the place to make music together, and since it's unscripted and spontaneous, you never really know who's going to show up. Guest appearances happen, and the whole thing is built on the fly rather than played from a setlist. If you play, you can bring your instrument and join in; if you'd rather just listen, that works too. The room is rounded off with hot pizza and cold beer.
The venue is the Station Inn at 402 12th Avenue South, a Nashville institution that's known far beyond the city. It's a spot that fits this kind of thingβa room where the music is the main event and the door is open to anyone who wants to be part of it. Whether you're coming to play or just to hang out and hear what happens, it's a low-pressure way to spend a Sunday night.

Doors open at 7 PM, and it's a free event. Since it runs every Sunday through the end of January, you can drop in whenever it works for you.
