Floyd is a three-time GRAMMY nominee and an independent Nashville songwriter. American Songwriter magazine has called her a "musical Swiss Army knife" for her ability to work across any genre, and that's a fair description of where her writing lands. She writes for film, television, and musical theatre, and her songs have been recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Sturgill Simpson, Madi Diaz, Brian Wilson, Ronnie Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Ingrid Andress, and Ashley Monroe, among many others. That's a wide range of voices—pop, country, and everything in between—all coming from the same pen.
