Benny La Mar performs an acoustic duo set with Cat Flint at Tin Roof.
Benny La Mar plays Tin Roof Nashville on Saturday, October 17, performing as an acoustic duo with Cat Flint. It's a stripped-back version of his usual setup, just two voices and instruments on stage instead of a full band.
La Mar is a singer-songwriter from San Francisco who moved to Nashville in early 2022. He started on piano as a kid, then taught himself guitar and began writing his own songs. Since making the move, he's played over 200 shows and built a following as a Nashville regular, blending catchy pop melodies with classic folk songwriting. He's also a multi-instrumentalist—guitar, bass, and keys—and writes and produces for other artists on the side.
For this one, he's teaming up with Cat Flint. The acoustic duo format puts the focus on the songwriting and the vocals, so it's a good way to hear the songs without a full band around them. If you've seen him before, this is a different side of his live set; if you haven't, it's a straightforward introduction.
