A concert by the band BEAT, featuring King Crimson alumni Adrian Belew and Tony Levin alongside Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio, performing the music of King Crimson's 1980s albums.
BEAT plays the Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 7:30 PM. The group is made up of Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, both King Crimson alumni, joined by guitarist Steve Vai and drummer Terry Bozzio. Together they're performing the music of King Crimson.
The set focuses on the band's three landmark 1980s albums: Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. Rather than recreating the original recordings note for note, the group plays them with the spirit, precision, and adventurousness that made the material so enduring. It's a particular era of the band's catalog—the interlocking guitar parts and the tight, rhythmic drive—brought back to the stage by musicians who lived it.
BEAT formed around Belew and Levin, who team up with Vai and Bozzio to bring those three albums to life. The show comes after more than 100 acclaimed performances across North and South America, Europe, and Japan, and it's part of the group's final North American tour. If you've been following this run, this is one of the last chances to catch them on this side of the Atlantic.
