High-intensity synth and punk night featuring Adult. and A Place To Bury Strangers, with Stacian on support, at the Third Man Records venue.
Adult. and A Place To Bury Strangers play The Blue Room at Third Man Records on Saturday, November 14. Both are headlining, and Stacian opens the night. The bill is described as a session of high-intensity synth and punk, a collision of heavy distortion and aggressive electronics.
If you've seen A Place To Bury Strangers before, you know the sound: a wall of noise that usually feels like it's trying to push the walls out. Frontman Oliver Ackermann has spent nearly two decades bringing surprises to his live shows, so there's rarely a set that plays out exactly how you'd expect. Adult. brings their own brand of electronic grit to the mix, and with the two on the same bill, the night leans heavily into the louder, more abrasive side of synth and punk.
The Blue Room is inside Third Man Records' headquarters at 623 7th Ave S. It's historically been reserved for live performances, film screenings, poetry readings, and art shows, but it now opens to the public every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening. When it's open, you can grab a craft cocktail, a bottle of neighborhood brew, or a pretzel from Fatbelly, lounge in the cornerless blue space, relax on a lush outdoor patio, and take turns in a vintage dip 'n dunk photobooth. Regular programming includes live music, trivia, dance parties, guest DJs, art exhibitions, and 16mm film screenings.
