Benefit concert with Charles Esten supporting Blood Cancer United after the walk at Ascend Amphitheatre.
Charles Esten hosts the 13th annual Light The Late Night at 3rd & Lindsley Bar and Grill on Thursday, October 22, with special guests joining him on stage. It's a benefit concert for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Blood Cancer United, and it's one of those Nashville nights that starts with a walk and ends with a show.
If you're following the whole day, the context helps: the concert comes after the Blood Cancer United Walk at Ascend Amphitheatre. The idea is that walkers head over to 3rd & Lindsley to rock after the walk, so the music is the second half of a full day of supporting the cause. Esten, who goes by 'Chip' around town, has been at the helm of this for thirteen years now, and the night is built around that same tradition.
On stage, it's Esten and a rotation of special guests, so you'll get him and a few other faces throughout the set. It's a benefit, and the proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Blood Cancer United, two organizations working on blood cancer research and patient support. If you're already planning to be at the walk at Ascend, this is the natural next stop.
