If you have spent any summer evening in Nashville with the downtown skyline lit up behind you, you already know the draw of the Ascend Amphitheater. Officially the Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater, it sits at 310 1st Avenue South, tucked between First Street and Demonbreun along the Cumberland River, and it has been one of the city's most scenic stages since it opened in 2015. With a capacity of 6,800 and LiveNation at the helm, it is built for the kind of nights that are hard to beat in a music town.

The 2026 season ran from May 1 through August 25, and while the main stretch is behind us, the venue is not closing its gates for the year. The early months were stacked: Bailey Zimmerman opened the season on May 1 and 2 with Hudson Westbrook and Blake Whiten; Russel Dickerson played May 8 with Tyler Hubbard; An Evening with David Byrne followed on May 9. June brought Yellowcard on the 8th with New Found Glory and Plain White T's, Charlie Puth on the 9th with Lawrence and Ally Salort, the Yacht Rock Symphony on the 23rd with Ambrosia, John Ford Coley and Peter Beckett backed by the Nashville Symphony, and Young The Giant on the 27th with Cold War Kids and almost friday.
July leaned into variety, with Lindsey Stirling and PVRIS on the 22nd, Turnpike Troubadours and Muscadine Bloodline on the 24th, Zeds Dead and Moody Good on the 25th, Hilary Duff on the 30th, and Train with Barenaked Ladies on the 31st. August rounded out the summer run with Bob Dylan on the 1st, Tape B x Levity on the 8th, and Jack Johnson closing the official season on the 25th with Lake Street Dive.
What is left is the autumn stretch, which is where things stand now. The Music City Kickoff Concert went off on September 5 with Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett and Payton Smith; Shaboozey played September 18 with Noeline Hofmann; and Yelawolf and Highly Suspect took the stage on September 25. ZZ Top and Cheap Trick played October 8, and Dermot Kennedy is the name on the marquee tonight, October 11, with Jonah Kagen opening. After that, there is one more date to look forward to: the Live on the Green Lawnwarming Party on October 18, starting at 4:30pm with Guster and Grace Potter.
A few practical notes make the difference between a smooth night and a stressful one. The lawn is the affordable option and comes with the skyline view, and shows run rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Plan to arrive 45 to 60 minutes before showtime rather than cutting it close. Clear bags and small personal items are the way to go, and outside food, beverages and coolers are generally not allowed. Accessible seating, parking and guest services are all in place, so the venue is set up for everyone to get in and out without much fuss. Whether you have been here before or are still waiting for your first show, the autumn run is a good place to finally catch it.
