Live show by Minnesota indie country and pop artist Tyler Herwig and his band Ocean's Still in the Umbra lounge.
Tyler Herwig plays Umbra on Friday, October 23, from 6 PM to 9 PM. He's a Minnesota-born indie country and pop artist from Mankato, and this is a solo set in the lounge at Umbra, which is inside the Canopy by Hilton at 708 South 3rd Street in downtown Minneapolis.
Herwig's sound blends anthemic melodies with raw, heartfelt storytelling, and he's described his work as emotionally driven. He draws influence from U2 and Keith Green, and he's a chart-topping songwriter: his debut single, "Living in the Last Days," climbed to number eight on the country charts. Family sits at the heart of his writing, with his wife, Mae, and their two young children inspiring both his lyrics and his drive. He's a relentless performer, playing more than 250 shows a year, and he fronts the band Ocean's Still.
