An exhibition celebrating the beauty and resilience of trees, exploring their forms, colours and atmospheres across the changing seasons.
Groveland Gallery is hosting TREES: Homage to Foliage, an exhibition that runs through October 17, 2026. It opened with a reception on Saturday, September 5, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and since then the gallery has been open Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
The show is built around the presence of trees—their forms, colors, and the different atmospheres they create as landscapes shift through the seasons. It frames them as enduring living monuments, and the beauty and resilience on display are meant to invite reflection on our shared responsibility to conserve them. If you've spent any time in the city's parks or out in the river valley, that's a connection that's easy to make.
It's the kind of show that works well on a slow afternoon. You can take your time with the individual pieces and see how they build toward that larger theme of conservation. The gallery is in Minneapolis, and since it's open Tuesday through Saturday, you can drop in whenever your schedule allows rather than having to carve out a specific night.
