Garage-rock duo The Black Mariah Theater play The Terminal Bar with support from The Peculiar Pretzelmen and King Sized Coffin.
The Black Mariah Theater play The Terminal Bar on Monday, October 19, with support from The Peculiar Pretzelmen and King Sized Coffin. It's a three-band bill on a Monday night, so you'll have a full evening of music to work through.
The Black Mariah Theater are a duo from Seattle, Washington, and the two people on stage are twin sisters. They play what they describe as sultry garage rock, and they're the ones who bring the energy to the setβthe kind of infectious, angsty-cool presence that tends to pull people in from across the room. Their sound is built around tantalizing melodies and catchy choruses, and there's a storytelling quality to the lyrics that gives the songs something to hold onto beyond the hooks.
Coming from Seattle, they're playing far from home for this one, so it's a good chance to catch them while they're in town. The two opening acts, The Peculiar Pretzelmen and King Sized Coffin, will set the stage before they take over. Between the three of them, there should be plenty of music to fill the night.
