Choral concert by the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus weaving well-known choral works with new queer compositions.
The Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus takes the stage at Orchestra Hall on Sunday, March 21, 2027, with a concert they've titled Stories of Audacity. It's a matinee, starting at 2:30 PM, and the venue is at 1111 Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis.
The program is built around the full spectrum of queer life: falling in love and coming out, isolation and the rush of belonging, and the grief and joy that follow. The chorus weaves together well-known choral works with new pieces composed by their own members, so you'll hear familiar choral music alongside music written from within the group. It's a mix of the established and the new, and the whole thing is staged at one of the city's most iconic venues.
The chorus frames the performance as a testament to Minnesota's inclusivity and commitment to diversity through a thriving arts culture, describing it as a shared experience of joy that breaks down barriers, with music speaking to the heart of everyone in attendance. They describe their audiences as diverse and warm, and the concert carries no dress code and requires no prior knowledge. ASL interpretation is provided.
