Schooner Music Jam

Schooner Tavern hosts its weekly music jam this Sunday, October 25, from 7:30 to 10:30 PM. It's a regular thing—the jam happens every Sunday at the tavern, so if you miss this one, there's another coming the following week. The tavern is at 2901 27th Ave. S. in Minneapolis.

As a jam session, the night is built around musicians coming together to play rather than a single act performing a set. It's an open format, the kind of thing that draws people who play themselves as much as those who just want to listen. Because it's a weekly occurrence, it's a good spot to drop into if you're looking for something to do on a Sunday night without having to plan your whole evening around it. The music starts at 7:30 PM and runs through 10:30 PM, giving you a full three hours to settle in. If you're a player, you can bring your instrument and join in; if you're not, you can just grab a seat and hear whatever the room puts together. It's free to attend, so you don't have to worry about tickets or a cover charge. If you're around the 27th Ave. S. area on Sunday, it's an easy way to spend a few hours with some live music.
