MPLS Amplified Volume 3

MPLS Amplified Volume 3 is happening this Sunday, October 18, at East Hennepin Auto Service in Minneapolis. The main feature is Some S* Cover Band, a cover band playing through the afternoon.

This is part of the MPLS Amplified series, a free run of events showcasing the city's art and music. The whole point of the series is to bring live music into the community, and this particular stop puts it in a spot you wouldn't usually associate with a concert: an auto service shop. It's one of those things that works better in person than it does on paper.

As a cover band, Some S* will be playing songs they didn't write, so the set will be built around familiar tracks rather than original material. If you're in the mood for a set of songs you already know, this is a good place to start your Sunday. It's a free show, and it's part of a larger effort to keep the city's music scene accessible.

The music starts at 12 PM, so it's a midday thing rather than a late-night one. You'll find it at East Hennepin Auto Service in Minneapolis, and since it's a free event, there's no ticket to worry about. Just show up around noon on Sunday, October 18.
