NBA basketball game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center.
The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2026. It's a regular-season NBA matchup, so the Timberwolves will be hosting the Lakers right here in Minneapolis.
If you're planning to go, keep in mind that this is one of two games between the two teams in a short window. The Lakers are scheduled to play the Timberwolves again on Friday, December 18, also at Target Center. That means you've got two chances to see them face off in the same city within three days, so you can pick whichever night works better for your schedule.
Since it's a home game for the Timberwolves, the atmosphere should be a familiar one for anyone who follows the team. The Lakers are coming in from the West Coast, and the game will be played at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis. You'll find the usual NBA setup: the two teams meeting on the court for a full game, with the Timberwolves playing in front of their home crowd.
