Concert by Twin Cities guitarist, composer and educator Conor Lee at Volstead's Emporium Uptown.
Conor Lee plays Volstead's Emporium Uptown on Friday, October 30, from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM. He's a Twin Cities guitarist, composer and educator who's spent a good deal of his time working as a sideman, playing across the country with a variety of pop, rock and jazz groups. That versatility has put him on stage with Lake Street Dive, Motion City Soundtrack, Jukebox the Ghost and Deana Carter.
When he isn't backing other musicians, he writes and performs his own music. He describes it as exploring themes of nostalgia, soul-searching, escapism and navigating hardship. Those songs have found their way onto 89.3 The Current, KFAI, Radio Free Fargo KRFF 95.5 and Prairie Public Broadcasting, so if you've caught his tracks on the radio around here, this is a chance to hear them live. The set will be his own material, not the sideman work.
