First official orchestral concert of the Attack on Titan franchise, with symphonic arrangements by Sawano and Yamamoto, a live choir and HD video from the TV series.
The Wild Faery Company brings Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis to Orchestra Hall on Monday, April 5, 2027. It's billed as the first officially licensed orchestral concert for the Attack on Titan franchise, and it changes the format from previous tours: the score goes to a full symphony orchestra and a live choir rather than the rock-orchestra setup of the show's earlier world tour, which sold more than 240,000 tickets.
The program features new symphonic arrangements curated and supervised by the series' original composers, Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto. More than 100 musicians and a live choir perform them, with HD giant-screen video projection from the TV series running throughout. Sawano scored seasons one through three and The Final Season, and later launched the vocal project SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]. Yamamoto composed for The Final Season as well as series like The Seven Deadly Sins and Kingdom.
Both come from a franchise with a long reach: the original manga by Hajime Isayama has been published since 2009 and has sold over 140 million copies worldwide. The concert takes those themes and puts them in a symphonic setting, with the original composers overseeing the arrangements.
