Exhibition of work by around fifty MCAD faculty members across its departments, with a Faculty Forum series of papers, film screenings, performances and readings.
The 2026 Faculty Biennial Exhibition and Forum is on view at MCAD through Saturday, October 31. It's a big, cross-departmental look at the work coming out of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and it's open to the public for free.
Around fifty faculty members show in the galleries, and they're drawn from across the college: Creative Entrepreneurship, Design, Fine Arts, Media Arts, and Liberal Arts. That's a wide spread of disciplines under one roof, so you'll see a lot of different ways of working side by side. The exhibition takes over the Main and Concourse Galleries, and it's been running since August 22, so there's still plenty of time to catch it before it closes at the end of the month.
Running alongside the exhibition is the Faculty Forum Series, which brings the research side of the faculty into the open. It's a program of papers, film screenings, performances, and readings held in Auditorium 140, with both in-person and remote ways to tune in. The whole thing sits within the galleries' regular rotation of contemporary art and design shows, receptions, and artist talks, so it's part of a larger, ongoing calendar of things to see at MCAD.
