Manchester synth-pop band W.H. Lung play their only headline gig of the year at Albert Hall, marking a decade since their first single.
W.H. Lung play Albert Hall on Friday 20 November, their only headline gig of the year. It's a homecoming for the Manchester-born synth-pop group, and the set is a career-spanning one, reaching back across their three full-length albums.
The date marks ten years since they released their first single, Inspiration!, so the set will pull from the whole run rather than sticking to the latest record. They've built their sound on krautrock, with the motorik rhythms and synth textures of the German scene of the seventies running through it. They started in 2017 as a studio trio, and they've grown into a five-piece: Joe Evans on vocals, Tom Sharkett on guitar and synth, Alex Main on drums, Hannah Peace on vocals and synths, and Chris Mulligan on bass and synths. The name comes from a Chinese supermarket in Manchester, a nod to the city they're returning to for this one.

It's their only headline show of 2026, so this is the one to catch them on their own. Support acts are still to be announced, and the night is 14+ standing. Tickets start from £21 via See Tickets, and the music runs from 7pm to 11pm.
