Troy Hawke returns to the stage with his new comedy show, following a sell-out world tour.
Troy Hawke is back on stage with his new comedy show, Never Stop, Never Change!, playing The Lowry in Salford on Sunday 18 October. It's his first run since a sell-out world tour, and this is the new material he's taking out on the road.
If you've followed him for a while, you'll know the format: Hawke works with a character, a distinct persona he builds and inhabits for the duration of the show. Never Stop, Never Change! is the latest iteration, and it arrives after he's spent the last year playing to packed houses across the globe. This is the new show he's touring, so it's the first chance to see it in the flesh.
The venue is The Lowry, on the edge of Salford Quays, and the show is in the Lyric, the largest stage in England outside London. It's one of three theatres on site, alongside the more intimate Quays, so you've got a bit of a choice depending on what you're after. The building itself is built for families, with bright orange staircases, sloping blue floors, purple and glass walls, baby-changing, bottle and food-warming facilities, and pushchair access throughout. If you're coming with kids in tow, it's one of the easier venues to navigate.

Beyond the theatres, there are galleries showing work by artists of local, national, and international renown, with rotating exhibitions by LS Lowry as well as painting, sculpture, and photography from around the world — and entry to them is free. Pier Eight is the waterside restaurant and bar, looking out over the Quays and the Manchester Ship Canal, so there's plenty of room for a drink before or after. The show starts at 19:30 on Sunday 18 October.
