Stand-up comedy show by Tim Key and Loganberry at The Lowry.
Tim Key brings Loganberry to The Lowry in Salford on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October, two nights in the city before he takes the show on to London. If you've seen him before, you'll know the drill: the signature suit, the poems, and the stamping and howling that usually mark out a Key set. It's a distinct kind of comedy that doesn't quite fit into a single box, and Loganberry is the latest iteration of that.
For those who haven't caught him live, Key is a Perrier Award winner whose work often balances the absurd with the deadpan. He's as much a writer as a performer, and the poems are a good place to start if you're wondering what to expect. Between the stage and the page, he's built a reputation for a very particular, slightly off-kilter energy that's hard to describe until you're actually in the room with it.
He's also popped up in a few places you might not associate with a stand-up. He played a pigeon in Bong Joon Ho's latest film, appeared on Richard Herring's podcast, and wrote the book L.A. Baby!. It's that same sensibility that runs through his live workβa bit of the unexpected tucked into the ordinary.
