The Mountain Goats perform their new album 'Days' live at the Albert Hall, with appearances from Craig Finn and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The Mountain Goats play Albert Hall on Friday 16 October, their first Manchester date since the release of their new album, Days. It came out on 7 August 2026 on their own label, Cadmean Dawn, and was produced by the band's multi-instrumentalist Matt Douglas. The show is 14+ standing, and they're supported by Craig Finn and the Band of Forgiveness.
Days is the record they're touring, so it'll be the focus of the set. It's a Mountain Goats album through and through, with Douglas producing it and playing across the tracks. The recording also features Tommy Stinson and Lin-Manuel Miranda, so it's a bit of a gathering of names you wouldn't usually see on the same sleeve. If you've been following them for a while, you'll know they've spent years building their own label, and Days is the latest thing to come out of it.
Craig Finn and the Band of Forgiveness open the night. Finn is best known as the frontman of The Hold Steady, and this is his own project, so it's a double bill of songwriters rather than a random support slot. Between the two, you've got a fair amount of ground covered before the main set even starts.
