Tame Impala live in the round of the arena, with special guest Wet Leg.
Tame Impala play Co-op Live on Friday 28 May 2027, with Wet Leg as special guest. It's a Manchester date for the project that started as Kevin Parker's solo effort in Perth and grew into a full live band. The set is built around Parker's psych-pop, which he writes, records and produces himself, and the live show brings that sound out of the studio.
This particular night is set up as an in-the-round show, so the stage sits in the middle of the arena rather than at one end. It changes how you see the band and how you hear them, with the crowd wrapped around the performance. Wet Leg open the bill, the Isle of Wight duo who first made a name for themselves with the dry, conversational lyrics and punchy guitar lines of their debut single 'Chaise Longue'.
If you've followed Tame Impala from the early days, you'll recognise the psych-rock of Innerspeaker and the more expansive, synth-heavy sound of Lonerism. The later records, Currents and The Slow Rush, shifted the focus towards dancefloor-ready grooves and polished production, and the live set usually pulls from across that whole run. It's a long way from the bedroom recordings that started it all, and the full band on stage fills out those arrangements in a way the records don't always capture.
