Gareth Malone leads a singalong show celebrating the songs that have made movie moments magical, with his live band, singers and local choirs.
Gareth Malone brings his live singalong show to the RNCM Theatre on Saturday 17 October, part of a UK tour running through October and November 2026. This one is called Sing-A-Long-A-Gareth: At The Movies, and it's a brand-new show that focuses on songs from cinema classics. It follows on from last year's singalong tour, so if you caught that, this is the next chapter.
Malone is billed as 'the man who got the nation singing', and that's the whole point of the night. He's spent decades setting up choirs in schools, workplaces and communities, and he brings that same approach to the stage. He leads the audience through some of cinema's most loved musical moments, so you're not just sitting and listening — you're singing along with the room. He's backed by his live band, singers and local choirs, so there's a full sound behind you rather than just a track.
It's a singalong, so the whole thing is built around the audience joining in. The set is drawn from the songs that have made movie moments magical, and Malone leads the way, with the band and the choirs filling out the sound. It's part of a wider tour across the UK throughout October and November, so the Manchester date is one stop on a longer run.
