Stand-up comedy show by Rhys James, star of Mock The Week and Rhysearch, at the Salford Lowry.
Rhys James brings his new show Chop Logic to the Quays Theatre at the Salford Lowry on Wednesday 17 February 2027. He's a stand-up comedian and writer, and you might recognise him from Mock The Week and Rhysearch.
If you've not seen him live, he's built a bit of a reputation with the critics. Richard Osman called him 'one of the funniest men in the world', and The Independent described him as 'a clever wordsmith with great timing'. The Times called his work 'scintillating stand-up', The Evening Standard went for 'an immaculately crafted set', and Chortle called it 'a superb tour de force of observational comedy'. Chop Logic follows his previous shows Spilt Milk and Prepares, and one review of this tour notes that he can hardly go two sentences without saying something flippant.
It's a solo show, so it's just Rhys on stage. He's known for that observational style — the kind of comedy that takes a small, everyday thing and pulls it apart until it's funny — and the 'clever wordsmith' tag suggests the writing is as much a part of the draw as the delivery. If you've seen his earlier work, this is the next chapter in that run.
