Stand-up comedy show by Phil Wang, known from Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You.
Phil Wang brings his stand-up show Wang in There, Baby! to the Manchester Opera House on Sunday 18 October. It's a solo night, so it's just him on stage for the full set.
If you've come across him through the telly, you'll probably recognise him from Taskmaster, where he's a regular, or from an episode of Would I Lie to You. He's also had a minute in Wonka, and his first full-length special, Philly Philly Wang Wang, landed on Netflix in 2021. Beyond the screen, he's written the book Sidesplitter: How To Be From Two Worlds At Once (2021) and has been a fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2010. He describes himself as 'the only cool millennial left', and he's now sporting a moustache.
His comedy career started with a Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2010, and he's a former president of the Cambridge Footlights. Since then, he's built a steady presence on the stand-up circuit, and Wang in There, Baby! is the latest tour to bring that work to the stage.
