MC Hammersmith presents an evening of improvised hip hop comedy based on audience suggestions, exploring his unique family background.
MC Hammersmith brings Ice Ice Nepo Baby to The Lowry at Salford Quays on Saturday 3 July and Sunday 4 July 2027. He's billed as posh West London's leading freestyle rapper, with more than half a billion views online, and this is part of an extensive UK tour he's running throughout the year.
The whole thing is built around a rather tall tale: he claims that when he turned 18, his parents, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice, revealed he was adopted, and that his two famous dads helped him rise to the top of the rap game. From there, he spends the evening trying to find his biological family through improvised hip-hop comedy. The set is driven by audience suggestions, so what he raps about depends on what the room throws at him, and it's built on lightning-fast freestyle raps and brand new routines for 2027.
It's a bit of a hybrid night — part stand-up, part freestyle rap, and entirely improvised. Because it's based on suggestions from the crowd, no two shows end up the same, and the new material means it's not just a repeat of his previous runs. If you've seen him before, this is a different version.
