Experimental Belfast outfit Makeshift Art Bar bring post-punk and noise rock to The Abbey.
Makeshift Art Bar play The Abbey on Friday 16 October, bringing their brand of post-punk and noise rock over from Belfast. They're a rising sonic powerhouse from the Northern Irish capital, and this is one of their Manchester dates.
Their sound sits at the intersection of 80s post-punk and experimental electronic music, with indie rock running through it all. The live sets are where it comes together: they blend improvisation with polished production, and they pair the music with visuals to make it an audio-visual experience. That combination has become their signature across the UK's underground music scene, and it's what they'll be bringing to the stage here.

The Abbey is in the heart of Manchester's live music district, at Guildhall Close in the Manchester Science Park (M15 6SY). The night is restricted to over-18s, so you'll need to keep that in mind if you're bringing a younger crowd. Tickets start from £12, and the music kicks off at 19:00.
