LIV SIN, a metal band from Stockholm, perform live at Rebellion Rock Bar in Manchester.
LIV SIN are playing Rebellion Rock Bar on Thursday 15 October, opening for the headliner ELEINE. It's a Stockholm metal band, and they'll be taking the support slot that night.
To get a feel for them, it helps to know where they come from. Liv Jagrell started the project in 2016, after her previous band, Sister Sin, called it quits in 2015. Sister Sin had spent thirteen years touring Europe and the US, supporting the likes of Slayer, King Diamond, Motörhead, Doro, Arch Enemy, In This Moment, W.A.S.P. and U.D.O. — a run that puts the pedigree of the project in perspective. LIV SIN is rounded out by Per Bjelovuk and Ebba Falk.
Their sound is described as being in the vein of Judas Priest with a twist of Arch Enemy, the Gothenburg sound and modern American metal. That blend comes through on their first two albums: Follow Me (2017), produced by Stefan Kaufmann and Fitty Wienhold, and Burning Sermons (2019), produced by Emil Nödtveidt. If you're familiar with the Gothenburg scene, that's a good place to start.
