Live gig by Glasgow outfit Lacuna, supported by Larlin and In Brackets, at Gullivers.
Lacuna play Gullivers on Tuesday 13 October, presented by REAL. They're a Glasgow outfit of six friends and musicians who've been releasing music and gigging since 2021. They've played sold-out shows at the Windmill in Brixton, were nominated Best Newcomer at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, and sold out their King Tut's headline show in 2025, playing alongside Corto Alto and Edwyn Collins. Their sound draws comparisons to Ethel Cain, boygenius, Daughter and Lana Del Rey, built on intricate soundscapes and rich storytelling.
Two support acts open the night. Larlin is a Brighton band formed in 2024 and fronted by Sheffield-born Maryann Hoar, whose alt-rock has picked up BBC Introducing and KEXP support and production from Lewis Foord and Cameron Nesbitt. In Brackets describe their sound as alternative, atmospheric rock with a post-punk edge, citing Big Thief, Men I Trust, Fontaines DC, Radiohead and Massive Attack as influences.
