Kasabian perform live at Co-op Live with The Vaccines as very special guests.
Kasabian play Co-op Live on Saturday 19 December, with The Vaccines as very special guests. It's one date of a four-night tour, and the Manchester show starts at 18:30, with a curfew of 23:00.
Kasabian formed in Leicester in 1999 around Sergio Pizzorno on vocals, with Chris Edwards on bass and Ian Matthews on drums. Their sound has often been compared to Primal Scream for the way it blends electronica with indie rock, and to Oasis for its confidence, vision and rough vocal style. The band's name is speculated to come from Linda Kasabian, the getaway driver for the Tate murders committed by the Manson Family.
Their debut album, simply titled Kasabian, came out in 2004 and peaked at number four in the UK Album Charts, propelled by the top-10 singles 'Cutt Off' and 'L.S.F' (Lost Souls Forever). The 2006 follow-up Empire yielded a title track that's widely regarded as a success. The Vaccines open the night before Kasabian take over.

There's a bit more to this one than the music: the band is donating £1 from every ticket sold to the LIVE Trust (charity number 1211251). If you're bringing anyone younger, under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The show starts at 18:30 and wraps up by 23:00.
