A live performance by the post-punk and noise-rock band Gurriers at the New Century Hall in Manchester.
Gurriers play New Century Hall on Friday 16 October, their only Manchester date of the autumn. They're a post-punk and noise-rock outfit that's built a name on the UK circuit, and this is a headline show with them as the sole bill on the night.
They're described as one of the most exciting bands on the circuit right now, known for high-octane live shows and catchy, feel-good anthems that get the room moving. It's a good summary of what they do: the noise-rock side brings the energy, while the post-punk side keeps the songs melodic and easy to get into. If you've seen them before, you'll know the live set is where the band really comes alive, and that's what they're bringing to this one.
New Century Hall sits in the heart of the city centre, just off Deansgate, and it's a great spot for a gig like this. It's got fantastic acoustics and an intimate vibe despite its decent capacity, so you're close to the stage without feeling squeezed. Deansgate-Castlefield is the closest train station, which makes it easy to get to if you're coming in from across the city or from further afield.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you book. The show is strictly for ages 14 and over, and under-16s have to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can take a maximum of two under-16s, so if you're bringing a larger group of younger ones, you'll need more than one adult with you. Tickets are £24, and the night starts at 18:00.
