A phone-free disco, funk and soul night with a costume party theme, strictly for over-21s.
Don't Fk with Disco are back at Albert Hall** on Saturday 31 October for their Halloween party, a regular fixture in the Manchester calendar. It's a phone-free disco, funk and soul night, so you'll be leaving the screen in your pocket and focusing on the dancefloor instead.
Despite the name, the organisers play more than just disco. They pull from house, funk and soul to keep the floor moving, so the set reaches beyond the 70s glitter and into the deeper grooves of the dancefloor. It's a costume party in earnest, too, and they reward the best-dressed duos, trios or icons with a 'DFWD ticket for life' — a proper incentive to put some real effort into the outfit.
There are a few things to keep in mind before you head down. The promoters run a strict zero-tolerance policy towards racism, homophobia, sexism, violence and oppression, and the night is strictly for over-21s, so bring your ID. If you're planning on dressing up, the ticket for life is on the line for the best costumes, whether you're going as a pair, a trio or a solo icon.

Doors open at 23:00 and it runs until 04:00, so it's a late one. Tickets start from £32, and with the phone-free rule in place, it's one of those nights where you're actually there for the music rather than the photos.
