A candlelight concert bringing the music of Fleetwood Mac to Hallé St Peter's, performed by a string quartet.
A string quartet is taking the music of Fleetwood Mac to Hallé St Peter's on Thursday 26 November, as part of the Candlelight concert series. It's a tribute night, so you'll hear the songs played by a string quartet rather than the band themselves, and the whole thing is set under candlelight.
Candlelight concerts work by bringing live music into venues across Manchester that aren't usually used for this sort of thing, and Hallé St Peter's is one of them. The idea is to hear the music in a space that doesn't typically host it, with the candlelight doing a good bit of the heavy lifting for the atmosphere. A string quartet will be on stage, rearranging Fleetwood Mac's songs for strings.
It's a tribute, so it's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Fleetwood Mac, their estate or official representatives. The show is aimed at music lovers aged 8 and over, and anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with assigned seating given out on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone.
