Singer-songwriter Arlo Parks performs live at the Albert Hall, presenting her album 'Ambiguous Desire' with BAIRD as the support act.
Arlo Parks plays Albert Hall on Monday 26 October, part of the Desire tour. She's touring her third album, Ambiguous Desire, which comes out this year. It's a bit of a shift from where she started: she describes it as drawing on the queer hedonism of New York's Paradise Garage, the nocturnal British beats of The Streets and Burial, the synth pop of LCD Soundsystem and the house grooves of Theo Parrish. If you've followed her since the beginning, that's a fair distance from the Mercury Prize-winning Collapsed in Sunbeams that made her name in 2021.
That debut earned her Breakthrough Artist at the 2021 Brit Awards, two Grammy nominations, and two Ivor Novello nods, and it's where she picked up the reputation of being 'the voice of her generation'. Her follow-up, My Soft Machine, featured Phoebe Bridgers and took her on a global tour. In 2025, she became the youngest ever UNICEF Ambassador. So by the time Ambiguous Desire arrives, she's already a few records in and a good way into her twenties.
