Stand-up comedy show by Amy Gledhill, presented by Plosive Live and A Lovely Time Productions.
Amy Gledhill brings her stand-up show Thanks for Having Me to the Quays Theatre at The Lowry on Saturday 27 April 2027, with the performance starting at 7pm. It's presented by Plosive Live and A Lovely Time Productions.
Gledhill is a comedian, actor and writer who's worked across a fair few formats. She's appeared on some of the biggest comedy shows on TV, won the BBC Caroline Aherne Bursary, and starred in a Netflix blockbuster. On stage, she's one half of the surreal comedy double act The Delightful Sausage, and she co-hosts the Northern News Live podcast with Ian Smith. This show, though, is her own.
Thanks for Having Me is built around the small, awkward frictions of getting through the day: the struggle to nail a first date, the clumsy side of a social interaction, and a trip to the spa that ended with her being banned from the place. It's that kind of observational comedy that works because it's rooted in the things most of us recognise from our own lives, rather than anything too far-fetched.

As for the venue, The Lowry is out at Salford Quays and houses three theatres, including the Lyric — the largest stage in England outside London — and the more intimate Quays, where this one is held. There are also galleries with free entry and Pier Eight overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal, so it's an easy enough spot to make a whole evening of if you're coming from across the city. Tickets are £24.50, and the show kicks off at 7pm on Saturday 27 April.
