Two-and-a-half-day meetup for board wargame players to play historical tabletop and hex-and-counter wargames across the long weekend.
Kriegsspiel London is back at Balham Library Hall from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, a two-and-a-half-day meetup for board wargaming in south London. It's open to experienced players and newcomers alike, so you don't need to be a veteran of the hobby to get involved.
The focus is on historical tabletop wargamesβthe classic hex-and-counter style where you move counters across a map. You bring the games you want to play, and the organisers bring their own as well, so there's plenty to choose from. It's a mix of planned and casual gaming: the organisers put together a structured timetable in an Excel sheet and share it in advance, which lets you map out your weekend and book in specific games, while still leaving room to just turn up and see what's on the table.
Every week we pick π the 5 best π things to do in London and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a long weekend, and the hours reflect that. On Friday, the hall is open from 13:00 to 22:00, and on Saturday and Sunday it runs from 09:00 to 22:00. That's plenty of time to sink into a long campaign or fit in a few shorter ones. The venue is Balham Library Hall, 16 Ramsden Road, London SW12 8QY, right in the heart of Balham. Tickets go from Β£10.00 up to Β£65.00 through Eventbrite, depending on how much of the weekend you want to join in for.
