Family-friendly headphone disco for children aged 6 to 12, with three DJs playing in the museum's Hintze Hall.
Dino Disco for Kids is back at the Natural History Museum on Friday 30 October, from 19:00 to 21:00. It's the museum's family-friendly headphone disco, and this time it's taking over Hintze Hall, the great central hall on the ground floor. If you've never been, it's the one with the huge skeleton greeting you as soon as you walk in through the Cromwell Road entrance.
The setup is a silent disco: everyone puts on headphones and dances to tunes chosen for kids and adults alike. There are three different DJs playing at the same time, so you can switch between channels and pick the one you're feeling. Bars will be open and serving a selection of drinks throughout the night. The museum bills it as 'the best party in town', and given the setting, it's a fair shout.
It's aimed at children aged 6 to 12, and they have to be accompanied by an adult. Adults aren't admitted without a child, so it's strictly a family outing. If you're after a grown-up night instead, the museum points people towards its 18+ Silent Disco as an alternative.
